110.6 National Insulator Company - Big Brother Start Price USD 800.00 Current Price USD 800.00 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price USD 1,000.00 Reserve Price - Start Time Thursday, December 04, 2008 End Time Tuesday, December 09, 2008 Location North East See more about '110.6 National Insulator Company - Big Brother' Description Here it is, the big brother, 110.6 National Insulator Company.  This piece was recently aquired from a Pennsylvania linemans collection of early insulators.  It is a dug piece, however, it is in remarkably good condition given how fragile these insulators are.  I have seen a few of this larger style, however, all have had a range of damage.  This is one of the better pieces I have ever seen, short of a catlog auction.  If I were going to keep this insulator, I would certainly send it out for a tumble.   There are several wire groove rubs, see pics, a few pecks here and there and a small sliver flake off of the base, see pic.  The sliver takes out part of the U in INSULATOR.  There is an area of glass folds that upon first glance may look like a hairline, however, upon closer inspection it is obvious that it is a fold in the glass and NOT a hairline.  This insulator is from a central NJ line which traversed the state from East to West.  It was dismantled some years ago, older poles being replaced with new.  Many collectors know the area well and have most likely also dug for these larger pieces as well.    Please email me with any questions.  Please note, I I accept PayPal or US money orders.  Winner to pay $10 S&H&Insurance.  Place a Bid!
