Description
Early 1700's "Onion" Bottle - River find - Dutch Manufacture This 1700's Dutch "onion" bottle has a medium green color and shows air bubbles in the glass that is typical of bottles from this era. There are no chips or cracks. It does have typical scuffs and scratchs on it from the years it spent being used by man, and also from the time it spent on the river bottom with sand, and debris. It shows the typical Dutch "rough pontiled" and kick-up base and has some white sandy/crushed shell in areas of the pontil. The lip has been flared onto an applied string rim used in securing the cork with wire and there is no rim or string damage. 6-13/16 inch's tall with no chips, dings or cracks.A successful bidder would pay $10.00 USPS Priority shipping IF you are in the USA.
