Description
This is an exceptionally rare bottle of Ch Yquem from a spectacular vintage. 1811 was the year of the Great Comet that could be seen in the sky for 260 days ; the Napoleonic wars were in full force, the French were losing the battles however they managed to produce a 100 point wine. A full single bottle of this wine recently sold for £45,000! Unfortunately the cork in this bottle fell through into the bottle many years ago rendering this wine as totally undrinkable. There is about a quarter of the liquid left in the bottle with a layer of mould on the top. This is being sold as an EMPTY BOTTLE even though there is a small amount of liquid left in the bottle. This is a one off chance to acquire an historical bottle from the finest sweet wine in the world. A rare collectors item! A reserve price has been put on this bottle because of its scarcity value.
