Description
Greetings and WELCOME! to the…   ~ VINTAGE WHEATON CHRISTMAS DECANTER ~     Here's a vintage Limited Edition Christmas decanter made in 1974 by the Wheaton Glass company of Millville, NJ. It's called the Poinsettia Decanter and has a poinsettia flower in relief on one side and the story of the poinsettia legend on the other side. It reads - A peasant girl laid her gift of a weed beside the manger on Christmas eve and it suddenly turned into the scarlet poinsettia. The glass is a jade green and has a opalescent carnival finish. It's marked on the bottom with the Wheaton mark. It's in perfect condition with no chips or flaws and even comes in the original box along with the pamplet that explains in detail the story of the Christmas flower and an invitation to join the Wheaton Commemoratives Collectors Guild. The bottle is about 7" inches high and about 5" inches wide. A real nice addition to your bottle or glass collection. It certainly would make a terrific gift too. Buy it now and stash it for Christmas. The holiday will be here before ya know it. Bid now before ya forget or get sniped at the auction end. There's no reserve so one bid buys it! I'll ship it anywhere. Thanks for looking and good luck bidding!  Check out my eBay store and other auctions for more great stuff. Thanks for looking… HAPPY BIDDING!   MY AUCTION TERMS are as follows… please read! BIDDING ON THIS AUCTION MEANS YOU ACCEPT “ALL” THE AUCTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS! NO excuses, NO exceptions! If you don't agree to my terms then DON’T bid!  ALL AUCTION SALES ARE FINAL!EVERYTHING I sell is sold “AS-IS” NOTE- If you have (0) feedback, very little feedback or negative feedback, your bids may be cancelled and/or rejected at my discretion. SEVERAL things to consider before you place a bid… 1. SHIPPING COSTS... BUYERS WITHIN THE CONTINENTAL U.S.I normally ship small items via USPS parcel post with delivery confirmation. Larger items are normally shipped with UPS ground or DHL ground. I occasionally use Greyhound for odd larger items. Plycon is another option for shipping larger furniture items. Use the shipping calculator to enter your postal zip code and get a shipping quote to your location. Shipping and handling costs will be automatically calculated for you. I do my best to keep shipping costs to a minimum but nothing is cheap these days. Packing materials, rising fuel costs, my time and actual shipping fees are all real factors in determining a fair shipping cost to you the buyer. Please be aware that I'm only human and sometimes I do screwup and fail to enter the correct specs into the calculator which may cause an invalid shipping quote. This is not intentional but is due to the simple fact that items are not prepacked and it's only an estimate of what the size and weight of the packed item will be. If the cost seems unusually high or low please email me so I can check it to be sure it's correct. If I find that I mistakenly entered the wrong information I'll make any needed adjustments before sending an invoice so your invoice should reflect the correct shipping costs but it's still not a guarantee. Lately I've been finding that I can't even keep up with the rate increases for UPS or DHL and what they quote me today may be useless 3 or 4 weeks from now when I go to ship the item. Please don't expect me to ship at a loss just because there may be a mistake with the information entered into the ebay calculator or because rates went up again.  Local pickup is not only welcome but also free at one of 2 possible locations. Eagleville, PA (19403) or Tioga, PA (16946). I am only available on certain days and times but I'll do my best to work with you. Just don't have unrealistic expectations. I can't just drop my entire life at any given moment to accomodate a pickup. That's just not reality. Just drop me an email in advance and we'll figure it out. Thanks! BUYERS OUTSIDE THE CONTINENTAL U.S. Unless otherwise stated I will usually ship smaller items anywhere in the world but if you live outside the continental U.S. shipping can get expensive (varies depending on the item) and things may take a while to arrive so please be patient. Use the shipping calculator to enter your postal zip code and/or the country where you live and get a shipping cost to your location. Large items will probably not be available to International buyers only because I don't know of an affordable method for shipping large items such as furniture, etc. Internationally. 2. INSURANCE… USPS shipping quotes do NOT include insurance. Unless otherwise stated insurance is optional but I recommend it. If you want me to insure your item you'll need to pay for insurance. I will "NOT" be responsible for lost or damaged packages under any circumstances. UPS and DHL both automatically include $100 of coverage. Additional coverage will cost a little more. Insurance may not be available to some International buyers depending on your location and the item being shipped. I always pack with extreme care but I will not assume responsibility if your item is damaged or lost once it leaves my hands. That's on you and your decision to insure it. 3. SHIPPING TIMES... Please pay attention here. Selling on ebay is as much a hobby as anything else but I do take it seriously. I normally travel several days a week and am frequently out of town on other business for up to a week at a time. As such, I am NOT able to pick up my mail on a daily basis nor am I able to ship on a daily basis. I can always ship at least once a week but I can NOT ship everyday. I do NOT always have access to a computer to check emails or answer questions but I always do my best to answer inquiries ASAP. If you send me a note and don't get an answer right away then I'm probably out of town. I do the best I can to ship items in a prompt time period but depending on when I get your payment, the type of payment you send and a number of other variables, it will normally be about 3-4 weeks after the auction ends before you receive your item. I will do my best to ship items paid for with PayPal within 3 business days but I can't guarantee that will happen every time. If you're in a big hurry for something and don't have the patience to wait then please do us both a favor and shop with another seller. I'm only one person and this is not my entire life. Thank's for understanding. 4. PAYMENTS…  PAYMENTS MUST BE RECEIVED WITHIN 10 DAYS! I may cancel the sale and sell the item to another bidder or relist it if I don’t receive your payment within 10 days from auctions end! I always file a report with ebay on non-paying bidders. I prefer money orders, travelers checks, personal checks or business checks but I will also RELUCTANTLY accept PayPal and only because ebay is now FORCING sellers to accept it. So much for FREE ENTERPRISE in the USA.  All payments must be made in U.S. dollars. I will not accept checks from outside the continental U.S. There will be a $30 charge for any bounced checks or other returned deposited payments. Please NOTE...  All my sold items (excluding items paid for with PayPal) will be subject to a 7-10 "business" day waiting period before shipment in order to be certain that your payment has in fact cleared the bank. I'm sorry but it's a necessary evil. The exact waiting period will be my decision (not yours) and greatly influenced by your feedback record. 5. SALES TAX... PA residents pay 6% sales tax. Also, anyone that picks an item up in person will have to pay PA sales tax regardless of where you live. This will normally only affect people buying large furniture items that can't be shipped out of state but it applies to anyone picking up an item in person. 6. RETURN POLICY... Since everything I sell is used I do not accept returns or exchanges and I do not issue refunds. Every item is typically the only one I have and a one time sale and as such is considered a final sale once it's been sold. Please read the item description carefully and view the pictures and ask any questions before you bid. 7. STORAGE... This generally applies to large items that are too big to ship but includes any item a buyer intends to pick up in person. I am more than willing to keep things for a short period of time (2 weeks) until you can pick up your item. However, unless we have agreed on other arrangements in advance I will begin charging storage fees after 2 weeks on things that haven't been picked up at the rate of $1 a day. Items left unclaimed for 45 days or more after the auctions end will be resold and any monies paid by the buyer will be forfeited as liquidated damages. “Non Paying Bidders” GO AWAY! 8. FEEDBACK… Pretty simple... Your positive feedback will get mine. I work very hard for and certainly appreciate positive feedback and will leave positive feedback once I receive yours. If there's a problem of any kind just email me and allow me the opportunity to correct the issue before you resort to leaving negative or neutral feedback. That isn't going to help anything and will only alienate me. I'll do my best to keep a happy customer if you just give me the chance. The rediculous new rules ebay has adopted concerning feedback have made it even more difficult to remain a seller in good standing. Unfortunately there will always be a tiny percentage of people out there that think the world owes them something for nothing and when they can't get it they resort to leaving sellers unjustified neutral or negative feedback. This is simply a fact of life and goes along with being a seller on ebay. I have always done my very best to offer quality merchandise at fair prices and I always do my very best to give buyers the best service possible but some people just can't be pleased no matter what ya do. To those people I say, go away and stay away and we'll all be blessed in the process. For the other 99.5% of ebayers, I welcome your business! Thanks in advance from the Dragon's Den! vintage, used, old, collectible, collectable, hand painted, signed, printed, wheaton, glass, bottle, carnival, depression, green, limited, edition, decanter, opalescent, commemoratives, I'm proud to be an American! GOD Bless AMERICA and God Bless our fighting servicemen!
