Description
Over the next several months I will be listing many items recently taken in on consignment in many different categories, cures, flasks, pontiled medicines, fruit jars, beers, sodas, etc. Regardless of value, all will begin with a starting bid of only $9.99. This lot consists of three (3), aqua glass, BIMAL (blown in mold, applied lip), cork top, Cathedral style Peppersauce bottles with applied double ring lips, two are 6-sided and one is 4-sided. One of the 6-sided examples has an IRON PONTIL and the other two have smooth bases. All have cathedral style arch windows in the lower 1/3 of the bottles and fancy gothic / cathedral designs on the rest of bottles. All are around 8.5 to 8.75 inches tall. All 3 bottles on for one price. Guaranteed original, NO reproductions sold at Jeff's Trading Post. Great for the collector of medicine cure remedy quack proprietary doctor dr drug store bottle or bottles. Condition: The 4-sided example has light inside stain and a 1/2 inch open bubble on one of the heel corners. The PONTILED 6-sided example is very clean with just some very light inside content haze. Also has a sand grain embedded right on a corner between two of the large cathedral panels on the lower 1/3 of bottle, from which ther is a 1/4 inch crack extending on each side of the sand grain. The other, smooth based, hinge-molded, 6-sided example is dug with heavy stain that could be tumbled out, but NO chips, cracks or dings. This one is very crude and must have been taken out of the mold too soon as it is not perfectly symetrical, it is squished a bit. A tumble would make this one sparkle. I grade this grouping a 7 to 8 on a scale of 1 to 10. See pictures below. Email me if you want additional pictures or have any questions. SEE MY OTHER EBAY LISTINGS FOR OTHER GOOD JARS AND BOTTLES.
