It has a 56mm plug cap finish in the Econopor style with lugs. There is a heavy ring around the neck to secure a bail. This gallon bottle has a heavy blue flexible plastic bail. It was manufactured in 1964 by the Northwestern Glass Company of Seattle, Washington (my maker information source is Glass Milk Bottles: Their Makers And Marks (1980) by Jeffrey L. Giarde).According to entries at pages 10 and 42 of the Oregon Dairy and Creamery Directory (1996) by Alice Faye Ellis there was a Three Jay’s Dairy located at Gold Hill, Oregon. This is the likely home of this gallon milk bottle. Gold Hill is located in southern Oregon between Medford and Grants Pass. The milk bottle is labeled the same way on each of the four sides with part of the labeling being on a large blue award ribbon, as follows:THREE JAY’S DAIRY HOMEOF GOODMILK PRODUCER - DISTRIBUTOR The white inside the milk bottle is Styrofoam beads which enhance display but could be removed by winning bidder without damage to the bottle. The Styrofoam was in the bottle when I acquired it and has not been removed.
