Description
Up for bid in sparkling condition is an antique medicine bottle from the 1860's era that was hand blown in a mold with a hand finished rolled lip. This bottle has a open pontil scar on the base; this is a circle of the sharp remains of leftover glass from a rod which was attached to the base to spin the bottle as the lip was being finished. It was then snapped off and the sharp glass mark remains, this process was not used after the mid 1860's on medicine bottles. There is a large "M" embossed on the lower front face. It stands about 4-3/4" tall and the mold seams run up the sides and stop at the lowest part of the neck. In super original condition with no chips, cracks, stains or wear. The glass is a very thin, aqua in color and the surface has a lumpy texture (whittled). There is no reserve and the Lifesavers are not a part of the deal. Thanks for looking my fellow Americans and other humans of the Earth.
