Description
Antique Blown Glass Bottle Gothic Cathedral Design Pickle Jar Here is a beautiful old antique blown glass pickle jar or large bottle, that measures approx. 13 & 1/2 inches tall. It is a good old antique one, and not a copy or repro of any kind. It is in excellent, all original condition, with no chips, cracks, damage or repairs. It is six sided, with a wide mouth, and very nice Gothic Cathedral style designs to the panels, which are arched and pointed tops, almost like church windows. It could use a good cleaning, there are a few dead bugs in it, but nice clear glass, with no sickness. The glass is a light bluish green in color, with many air bubbles, including one that broke through the surface, but just on the outside. There are also many specs and impurities in the glass, and the top is a little blobby and misshapen, but it all adds greatly to it's character. If you like early American blown glass bottles, then this one is an especially nice example!~~~ I found a few more old bottles---Please click on the red & blue "view my other items' box to see them---Thanks!~~~ *Priority Mail shipping cost for this item will be approx. $36.80, OR LESS, depending on your zip code. Please email us your zip code for a more accurate quote---Thanks!~~~ **Important: Please be Sure to Read the Auction & Payment Terms Posted Below Before Bidding--Thanks!~~~ This is one of many items that I will be continuing to sell from a very old New England estate, whose family have occupied the same property since the late 1700's. The land has now been divided & sold, and the buildings vacated. The attorney & heirs have requested anonymity. I have purchased a great variety of interesting old items, which have accumulated through many generations---from the 1750's right through to the 1950's--- I don't think these people ever threw anything away! Much of it is very intriguing and perhaps historical in nature,--- much of it is, I suspect, just plain old junk!----Please rely on your own knowledge when placing bids. I will be happy to answer all reasonable questions, just please don't wait till the last day to ask! I absolutely guarantee that this item is straight from a private estate, has never before been in the hands of an antique dealer or through another auction---it is totally fresh to the market. It will take me several months to sell things off, please bookmark this spot & keep checking......You can click on the red & blue "view my other items" box to see more....Thanks!~~~ *Please click here to view my other items on eBay* Auction Payment & Shipping Terms--Please Read Before Bidding Payment Method Item will be Shipped Communication Postal Money Order First business day after receipt You will be notified by eMail when your item has been shipped Personal Check 7 business days after deposit You will be notified by eMail when your payment has been received, along with an estimated shipping date.
