Nierenberg Bottling Co. PA Cobalt Blue Glass Bottle' Description Hello, up for auction is this exquisite cobalt blue glass crystal water or seltzer advertising bottle for B. Nierenberg Bottling Co. of Philadelphia, PA. Bottle has the original metal tap or lid on it, which is silver and marked B. Nierenberg, the lever does push down for releasing liquids (see photo). There is normal wear to this part. Nothing that a polish wouldn't cure. No rust or anything like that. Bottle has the original piece inside for liquids to run through the pumping mechanism. Bottle is marked on the front, "B. Nierenberg Bottling Co. Phila. PA. REG. Cont. 26 OZ 1023-31 Windrim Ave Made of Purified Crystal Water." The backside is marked, "Made of Purified Crystal Water." Underneath is marked, "Bottle Made in Czechoslovakia." Overall condition of bottle is great, there is some wearing of the lettering and near the left side front of bottle appears to me to look like the bottle slid down onto something and caused a line to go through the lettering. I could be wrong with this, this could actually be how the bottle was made. I do not know. Bottle is still very readable, even with these markings. There are your typical light scratch markings throughout the bottle and pinhole bites. Bottle is made of very thick and heavy glass. The inside will need to be cleaned up some, this is not bad at all. I just would rather not do so, for fear of taking away from the piece. Bottle stands almost 11" tall by 4" wide. Truly a beauty and wonderful collector's item. If you should have any questions, please ask. I thank you for viewing this auction. Have a great day.
