Description
Collectible 12 oz Aqua colored C. Conrad Budweiser beer bottle. Found in a florida wooded area near Lake Weir, this bottle is a beautiful old specimen. Aqua glass with bubbles, I find no faults, other than there is no beer inside. No chips or cracks. Hard to believe this bottle was found on the ground as I don't see any scrapes or wear to bottle at all. A bit of local history.... At Lake Weir is an old building, The Lake Weir Yacht Club, that served as a drinking and gambling hall during the late 1800's. A railroad line was nearby and it brought visitors from north florida on the weekends for entertainment. This bottle was found close to that clubhouse. The "spider-like" blemish that appears on the photos is actually remnants of a tiny root as this bottle was found on swampy ground. It was cleaned with only dish detergent and clean water with a little shake. There is a tiny bubble on the lip of the bottle and on the neck, just under the bale, which I questioned if it was a crack, but the inside of the neck feels smooth, and I believe it to be a bubble. Logo on the bottom shows this bottle to be CC&Co 1878. See: http://www.sha.org/bottle/pdffiles/OleanConrad_Blockhart.pdf There is no reserve. Free shipping within the lower 48. All other shipping calculated. Happy to answer questions. On Sep-28-08 at 13:55:26 PDT, seller added the following information:Just as a side note--I had my brother look at this bottle since he had spent some time diving for artifacts in the eighties. He looked at what I had described as what I thought may be a crack on the neck. He said this is a blown in mold, applied lip bottle and the "crease" I noted was supposed to be there. He is quite impressed with the bottle as well.
