The 3 1/2" iron slug plate was hand engraved by a mould maker using hammer and chisels. During that process a sulphur cast would be made to check on the work. These would be returned to the sulphur pot for reuse. This cast is one of a kind and was the final one before sending the slug plate to Cleevenger for hand blowing the bottle.
