Description
This 215 mm high dark green top ginger beer is by W. WATKINS BOULDER and has a clover leaf as a pictorial trademark. This manufacturer was in Boulder from early 1900's till just after WW1 and this is one of his numerous bottles to collect. This GB has rear lip wear as photographed, as well as a minor rear glaze pop where a bit of iron in the clay has popped in the firing process and is a natural part of the bottle as made. It is a well struck, and clean example for the collection with the lip wear being the odd part of this bottle. These green top versions are sought after due to colour and attractiveness. A great country W.A. bottle. I will be listing more goldfields and other bottles and items from the shed that have to go. Look out for them over the next year.
