Each year the base embossing (location of the national show) and glass color has changed. In 1979, the project was continued by John McDougald of Sedona, Arizona. Beginning with the Houston National in 1988, the dome of the commemorative was also embossed. These are ORIGINAL, NOT-STAINED or ALTERED insulators from the National Insulator Show.  This insulator is from a recent addition to our sales inventory from a long-time collector.  See our other current auctions for additional EARLY insulators.  The 2007 Price Guide lists this piece in the $20-30 range.   Insulator measures 4 1/8" tall.
