JOHN MOORE FISLERVILLE NJ Aqua HALF GALLON A half gallon+ sized jar that is embossed with a combination of script and block lettering as shown: "JOHN M MOORE & CO MANUFACTURERS FISLERVILLE NJ PATENTED DEC 3d 1861". A gorgeous jar with nice swirly and crude glass character, which is emphasized via the large size of the jar. Good condition with no damage except for a faint bruise running along the inner edge of the mouth in back as shown. Original glass lid and original cast iron yoke clamp. The glass lid has a few nicks. Base: unmarked. A great looking example of this scarce and appealing old jar.
