Description
(as per e-Bay) "Alcohol-Related Collectibles:   eBay permits the sale of alcohol-related collectibles, including alcohol-related memorabilia, packaging and containers such as bottles, decanters or limited edition cans (provided you comply with the above collectible container sale guidelines). EBay requirements:"   "We permit sales of unopened collectible containers that still contain alcohol as long as each of the following conditions are met and stated verbatim in the listing: ·        The value of the item is in the collectible container, not its contents.* ·        The container has not been opened and any incidental contents are not intended for consumption. ·        The item is not available at any retail outlet, and the container has a value that substantially exceeds the current retail price of the alcohol in the container. ·        The seller will take all appropriate steps to ensure that the buyer is of lawful age in the buyer and seller's jurisdiction (generally 21 years of age). ·        Buyers and sellers both ensure that the sale complies with all applicable laws and shipping regulations."   The collectible item: Louis XIII is presented in a collectible hand-blown crystal decanter requiring the successive skills of exceptional craftsmen. Richly decorated with fleurs-de-lis, the crystal carafe reveals and enhances the precious elixir that it contains. This elixir called Louis XIII.   It is difficult to give a precise date. From the shape of the stopper (reverse decanter), it suggests the decanter is prior to 1981 as the change to the fleur-de-lys stopper occurred at this date. Also, the fact that the decanter is named Louis XIII can tell that your decanter was produced after 1961 (before that date, the name was Age Unknown).   Note: The United States Postal Service (USPS) does not allow the shipment of intoxicating liquors containing .5% alcohol content or greater, whether in collectible containers or otherwise. Under certain circumstances, private carriers such as FedEx or UPS may offer such services.  On Oct-08-08 at 06:39:37 PDT, seller added the following information:added - There is no box or papers with this item. There are no losses that the seller is aware of. The item is no greater or lesser than shown in the pictures attached to this offering.
