This bottle was among a small box others just like it, all with their prescriptions left unfilled, leaving them in mint condition from around the 1950s. The top of the bottle unscrews to reveal a long glass wand to measure the dosage by drops, seeing as its contents were rather potent and so that its user took caution when measuring. The label reads "Paregoric, U.S.P.," with its contents detailed as: Anhydrous Morphine .035 to .045 Gm in 100; Alcohol 43-46% by Vol. A clear note of caution is also given, stating: "WARNING- May be habit forming." A rather interesting piece in immaculate condition!
