Part of the charm of these old things is imagining what it must have been like to drop by the corner apothecary to pick up a little hair gel, or pomade. Wouldn't it be sweet if our toiletries still came in such grand packages? I wish I could tell you more about this piece, but it arrived here in the midst of an absolute frenzy of pot lid collecting.
