It was Parker's father, Earl, who was the first to ply his trade at Heaven Hill.  It was working alongside his father that Parker  learned the process for making great Bourbon. Earl then turned the daily operation over to Parker in 1975. In doing so, Parker became the sixth generation Beam to earn the title Master Distiller. For his part, Parkeer Beam offers a realtively simple explanation for the contribution he has made through the years.
