Description
Primitive Hand Carved Royalty Which Conceals Liquor!! The following item for your consideration is this wonderful primitive wooden case carved in the form of Royalty (holding an edict), which when opened has a recess large enough to place a bottle of wine, liquor or beer.  Royalty is carved in the 10th-11th century style but although the hinges and nails appear handmade, they are not antique.  This is a handmade piece of primitive functioning art that has been very well created.  Primitive is used in reference to a naive style of art and not in reference to age of this artistic case.  The wood may be Popular but I am no an expert.  Expect imperfections in the wood, you'll see them in the photographs but if you have any questions, please ask prior to bidding.  It has dark stain over the wood and is in very good condition.  For being solid wood, this Royal case is not as heavy as I would expect.  No liquor is sent with this unique case.  This  primitive wooden hand-carved concealment vessel for libation is approximately 16 inches (41 cm) in height, 5 inches (12.3 cm) diameter at base, 13 inches (33 cm) in length inside and starts to bottleneck a little after 8.5 inches.   Will hold a 4 inch (10 cm) in diameter bottle by almost 13 inches (33 cm) in height and no more than 1.5 inches (4 cm) in diameter at the neck of the bottle. I am uncertain when this unique primitive item was made was made but it would look comfortable in vintage and antique surroundings.    The not so fine print....... I do not end bidding early or do second chance bidding.  Buyer pays shipping and optional insurance.                                                              Insurance is  Fee . . . . . . . . . .
