I was told by some local bottle collectors this jug is very rare and is one of only two ever seen  here in Tasmania and they said it was made by a local pottery company call John Campbell. It has a dark blue ink stamp in the glaze for E.Pantons Enfied Hotel and the hotel is a local pub here still in Launceston and the Hotel was owned by Edward Pantons and he started the Hotel in 1870. It is in very good condition for it's age and only has two flake chips out of the bottom rim but still displays very well. The jug stands 9 1/4 inches or 235mm high by 175mm across the widest part and weighs around 2 kilograms unboxed. A very nice rare jug for the collecton.   Please read my payment methods and condition before bidding.
