LOUIS' Description This rare DARK aqua long neck pontiled early tapored top blob top soda was dug from a privy in St.Louis, Mo. it has been lightly cleaned to near mint condition, with no chips or cracks. It is a variant with the backward N. It is boldly embossed - P. BERMINGHAM & CO - ST. LOUIS -  The soda has the early applied tapored collered  top and extremely deep crude recessed pontiled bottom. I date it to the 1840's as all the tapored collered top sodas were made in the late 1840's. Although  Bermingham was listed in business only three year 1850-1853. This is a very crude example with a long thin neck and heavy whittle all through the glass. Really a fine example. The white water paint will wash off if desired.
