Description
Item# RCONS06 Early Onion Wine Bottle in a diminutive size at only 6 1/8" tall. It has an amazing lip treatment that is both sheared, fire-polished and tapered downward with a similar applied drippy string. The short squatty dumpy form is very desireable among advanced collectors and it has an open pontil scar base. Another attribute is the lighter than normal yellow olive green glass that is engulfed in seed bubbles. The bottle does have some light spotty interior haze and exterior wear but there are no chips or cracks and has remained damage free. Probably Dutch, early 18th century, this remains a rare sized and scarce colored straight-sided onion wine bottle that will compliment any collection of fine early glass. From my personal collection to yours. You will not be disappointed with this one!On Sep-08-08 at 15:43:11 PDT, seller added the following information:Folks, I reserve the right to end this auction early if I feel the bidding is not commensurate
