Description
THANK YOU FOR VIEWING THIS AUCTION About me: Living in Florida, especially in the Tampa,St.Petersburg area has given me great opportunities to treasure hunt.I go to estate sales, garage sales, antique malls and auction houses. As with every Sunday count on me being at the flea market by 6:30 am.I have done this for over 20 years now. I have hoarded to where I can not hoard no more. So,I am offering for the first time these collector items on ebay. I hope you enjoy bidding on and looking at the things I have collected over the years. Good Luck and Happy Bidding... Up for Auction here is: A rare early 19th century Washington/Taylor pint green American historical flask circa 1840.This blown molded open pontil historical flask is in excellent condition. There are no chips, cracks, flea bites or staining on this wonderful 19th century American historical flask. There is a small bubble burst on the shoulder on the Washington side of the flask outside the embossed oval (see photos). This small bubble burst appears to be original to the blown molded process of the flask. One side of the flask has an image of George Washington within an embossed oval.Washington has a short pony tail with no writing or other embossing. The reverse has General Taylor within an embossed oval with no other writing or other embossing. The top has a smooth lip with a sloping collar. The color of this flask is a unique beautiful green color. The bottom of the flask has a nice sharp pontil mark. There is very minor surface wear to a few high points only and the embossing clear and strong. There are plenty of small bubbles as one would expect to see in a 19th century historical flask.Flask measures 6 3/4" x 4 1/2".***Please see my other auctions for more art, antiques and other items of interest.
