Description
"For your consideration a beautiful combination of vintage collectables" I"ve collected bottles over 30 years ,never seen this very rare *RED CROSS* bottle before ,(c1920-30s) in mint condition,it's about 6" in height and was used as a medicine bottle,I understand it was found in Jackson,Tn. used by Pinkston /Scruggs Drug store...The bottle is not machine made ,it was blown in a mold and could really date back to the late 1800s so the real age is unknown I was told the 1920-30 was the time the drug store was in operation? The other item that goes with the bottle is a little easier to date,It's a original military armband (c60-70s) . The *RED CROSS* has very nice embroidering ,high quality unissued condition, length will vary slightly from 18" to 20" width is about 4 to 5 inches.A great addition to the medical collector of rare and unusual items. Both display magnificent as a pair. A collector provided the following imformation 9/13...The medicine bottle comes in about 10 sizes with the smallest 2" in height and the largest almost 11" in height. I was told that there is a book on Western medicines that clarifies the glasshouse that made them between 1910 and 1920. It was a stock item for the glasshouse and many pharmaceutical businesses used the bottle. Many were around during the( GREAT FLU TRAGETY )in the 1910's.
