AMBER "TRADE MARK THE DANDY" FRUIT JAR' Description If you've been wanting this scarce old jar here it is. This is the 1/2 gallon size. Front embossed....Trade Mark The Dandy. Base.....Gilberds 10. Lid.....Pat. Oct. 13th 1885 2. This one has as perfect a ground lip as you'll ever find, and the lid is chip and crack free. Many times the ramp on these lids are chipped up from the wire bail being slipped over them, but not this one. The old glass is shiny clean, and loaded with larger and smaller unburst bubbles. The neck wire looks like to of been replaced, but the flip wire is original. Just a beautiful and desireable rare old amber jar. It is being offered up with a modest reserve well below book value.
