RED WING, MINN. (in a square all in black stenciling), base: PAT JAN 24 1899 (Macomb Pottery patent date). Off-white stoneware quart about 4 ½ inches wide and 6 inches tall. Character plus with trowel marks, hot spots, and glaze runs. Unembossed zinc lid with a porcelain liner.Near perfect, the only anomaly being one tiny glaze flake off the inside of the lip (shown @ about 12:00 in the second picture of the lip). Perfect everything else, in particular, no flaking or chips off the threads or base.
