Description
Up for offers now with NO reserve and a low starting bid is a beautiful 7 & ½” tall, deep sapphire blue or cobalt pontiled soda bottle. Here is another variant I could not find listed on any of the major on-line pontiled soda databases. It is embossed on the front “J. & A. DEARBORN / & Co / NEW YORK”. The rear is embossed with just a large letter “D”. The other variants I have seen listed have a glasshouse name, or product name also embossed on the back side. There are no chips or cracks, and several nice intact air bubbles in the glass. It has an exceptional, deep and crude improved pontil mark. There is some light interior stain in spots, and some light exterior swirl etching near the base. A top shelf example of a currently unlisted pontiled soda variant available for your bid. Please visit my other current ebay auctions for more interesting antique relics. Stay tuned for literally tons of other fresh to the market excavated artifacts from all over the eastern and central US to be auctioned off over the coming months. The winning bidder is to pay actual shipping in the USA for Priority Mail and a 50 cent handling charge. Payment is to be made by money order, personal check, bank check, or business check. Payment is to be received within 10 days of auction close, and check shipments may be held until they clear the bank if we have not transacted before. Thanks for looking, and good luck if you are bidding.
