Description
VICKSBURG STEAM BOTTLING WORKS You are viewing a very nice authentic, antique bottle that I personally dug in the mid-1980s in Vicksburg, MS.  I retrieved this bottle from an old dump site that was used in the latter 1800s into the very early 1900s.  I would date this hutch bottle around 1890, give or take a few years.  The front of the bottle has embossed "VICKSBURG STEAM BOTTLING WORKS" and the back is plain except at the very base there is lightly embossed "NBBC CO" and the number "47".  Embossed on the bottom is a large "P".  The bottle is a nice aqua green and its condition is very good with no damage other than normal use wear to the hutch top and base, and it still contains its original wire stopper.  The only damage I could find is some chipping on the letters LIN in the word BOTTLING and some roughness on the R in WORKS, as well as a small surface chip between the letters L and I in BOTTLING.  Hopefully you can see this in the pictures attached to this listing.  This is still a very nice bottle in good condition that has, apart from the previously described issues, only the usual case wear and minor staining from use and from having been buried for so many years.  It measures about 7 1/4 inches high and 2 1/4 inches across the base.  I have enjoyed having this bottle over the years, but now its time to pass it on to someone else to enjoy, as I am trying to retire. I request payment within 5 days of winning bid, unless other arrangements have been made prior to bid closing. I have described this bottle as accurately as I know how, and I have tried my best to identify all flaws that are not the result of the bottle making process.  As such, this bottle is being sold as is with a no refund policy.  I loved the hunt, but I do not consider myself an expert bottle collector; therefore, I ask that you research this item and closely observe the photo(s) I have provided to come to your own conclusion of value and condition.  That being said, I will consider exceptions to my no return policy on an individual basis when the buyer shows that within three days of receipt that I inaccurately represented the bottle in my description.  I guarantee the authenticity of the bottle for life, and will refund the purchase price and shipping should you prove the bottle to be otherwise.  I will not be responsible for loss or damages that occur in shipping, so I recommend you pay the additional charges for shipping insurance, which is minimal, if you do not wish to accept the risk.  I assure you that I will make the effort to pack the item in a way that damages are not sustained in shipment.  My intentions are to provide you, the buyer, with a product that you know is authentic and that you will be satisfied with and enjoy.    Shipping and handling for this item is $5.25.  It will be shipped through the U.S. Postal Service using priority mail.  I do offer shipping discounts for multiple purchases, usually $2.00 for each additional item added to the highest shipping cost for a single item in the group.  I do not try to make money on shipping, so please contact me if you have any questions.  Insurance if optional and, if desired, must be paid for by the buyer.   Thank you very much for considering this item.  May God bless you richly this holiday season.
