Old Crow Sour Mash 1/2 Pint Whiskey' Description We are delighted to offer one of the "Most Earliest and Rarest Specimens" ever featuring a 19th C. Vintage Unopened 1/2 pint Collectable Decanter of "Old Crow High Grade Celebrated Sour Mash Whiskey" for the first time on the market in well over a century. This extremely elusive specimen exhibits its original label and tax band that are in extraordinary condition. Moreover, the very crude constructed glass blob-top 1/2 pint bottle exhibits a large air bubble at the reverse side just below a horizontal etched marking at the upper left perimeter. Also, there are crudely composed elongated vertical seams at both sides of the bottle that appear very primitive. The inscription "Full 1/2 Pint" is located just above the front label in a raised relief glass embossment and also seen in the same manner at the very bottom/base of the bottle. Also very common to the period, is that the bottle exhibits a "Glass Stopper" with original cork that can be viewed from the many angled photos of the blob-top and neck. At the very top of the glass stopper and tax band, we find a red circular sawblade insignia that states "Aged in Wood". The label itself reads as follows:  Old Crow  High Grade Celebrated Sour Mash Whiskey    Distilled From Choice Selected Grain. The Tax Band Reads As Follows:  Contents Guaranteed if Seal is Unbroken.  It appears that this may be one of the earliest specimens from the Old Crow distillery since its inception and is certainly one of the rarist post civil war whiskey decanters that I have come across yet over my twenty five years of collecting.
