It is a calendar plate with transfer decal design dated 1910. Made by Homer Laughlin in the Hudson pattern. The plate measures 9 inches in diameter. The months are broken up and illustrated by season. Light crazing, but no chips or cracks.In 1910 VPI was an all male military school. Dr. McBryde was still President, though soon to retire. This plate would have been a gift to Mom or a sweetheart from one of the students. We try to examine all pieces closely and note any issues.
