The jar has no chips or cracks and only light surface scratches due to age and use.  The pale yellow, metal, screw lid does have some scratches and surface wear to the paint around the edges.   The jar is embossed on all four sides with three, slightly cured lines on each side of the four sides.  (Looks like parenthesis).  Very nice addition to your collection.
