The jar does have a few chips on the inside rim and some surface scratches from age and use.  The red paint is missing in some areas due to wear and it looks like someone tried to touch up the red in a couple of places and over a 1.00 marked on the very top, there is also some light rust on the inside of the lid.   The jar is embossed on two of the  corners with some lines and dots, and the other two corners are embossed with just lines.  There is also an embossed square with three graduating size lines above the square on the four sides (front, back and two sides).   Nice addition to your collection.
