Vintage Wheaton Cape May Bitters Light House Green-Mint Start Price USD 4.96 Current Price USD 4.96 Time Left - Bid Count 0 Buy It Now Price - Reserve Price - Start Time Monday, October 06, 2008 End Time Monday, October 13, 2008 Location Stevenson, MD See more about 'Vintage Wheaton Cape May Bitters Light House Green-Mint' Description This is a VINTAGE, Like-NEW, With Original Cork Stopper, MINT Condition "Green Glass Cape May Light House Lighthouse Figural Bitters Bottle" made in New Jersey by Wheaton in the early-1970s.  It is Clean, has its Original Clean Cork and has been stored in a glass display case for over 35 years.  In MINT Condition, there are NO marks, stains, odors, chips, cracks or other damage; it comes from a smoke-free, pet-free home.  Shaped like Cape May, NJ Lighthouse, it measures approximately 2 1/2 inches round and approximately 3 3/4 inches tall.  The body has a raised, pressed-glass design of the front of the lighthouse, including windows, door, and the tiled roof; the bottom is Marked with the "Wheaton NJ" copyright.  The "Cape May Lighthouse Bitters Bottle" was originally manufactured by Seaworth Bitters Company of Cape May, New Jersey in the early-1900s.  Influenced by the wonderful history of the lighthouse it was fitting that this local glass house company would memorialize it in glass.  The Cape May Lighthouse is one of the landmarks that distinguishes Cape May from many of the other hundreds of small Northeastern coastal towns.  The present day lighthouse is actually the 3rd or 4th lighthouse built at Cape May point.  In the early-1970s, Wheaton Glass Company of New Jersey began producing miniature replicas of famous vintage decanters and many companies special ordered them to market their own products.  IDEAL for display in any room, it is the PERFECT addition to any Vintage Glass, Reproduction, Green Molded Glass, Cape May, New Jersey, Light House, Lighthouse, Figural Bottle, Bitters, Wheaton Glass Company or 1970s Decorative Glass Decanter Collection!
