Description
This is a great Colonial Blue, Special Wheaton Commemoratives Series bottle. It is an empty corked bottle of Mary Wheaton's Pancake Syrup with original paper label still attached and cork stopper. Paper label is blue and white, though aged and slightly dirty, may clean off completely, but I will leave that to the buyer. It says "Mary Wheaton's" inside a rolling pin, "Pancake Syrup", the ingredients, 16 fl. oz, (1 PT), distributed by: Wheaton/Nuline Millvile, N.J. 08332. Size approximately 8" tall x 3 13/16" at widest part of base x 2 1/2" wide. This bottle features a raised design of man riding horse and the words "Paul Revere 1775" on back side. It was made to commemorate the "Midnight Ride of Paul Revere." The bottle is supposed to be shaped like a cabin with corner posts or columns. The front has an eagle emblem with shield and wheat stalks in its claws. Bottle is very heavy weighing approximately 3 pounds. Marked on the bottom "Wheaton N.J." the mark for Wheaton Glass Company of Millville, New Jersey. They began operation in 1965 as Wheaton/Nuline and were renamed Wheaton Products in 1973. Beginning in 1967, Wheaton became most famous for their authentic reproductions of old glass remedy or medicine bottles and the many commemorative pieces that were issued. The Special Commemorative Series consists of 19 bottles or decanters. ITEMS AS IS NO RETURNS THANKS FOR LOOKING!!
