The other label is hand written by the dispensing pharmacist and on it you can see where the price of 10 cents for an 1/8 ounce gets crossed out and is replaced with 25 cents for 1/8 ounce. As history go's this was some good stuff, (this jars preparation on the one label say's it's 48% alcohol and has 45.6 grams of opium) hence the price increase on the bottle! An awesome actual piece of early medicinal history! The bottle and ground pontil are in excellant condition. It's heighth is right at 5 1/2" tall and is 1 3/4 " in diameter. Place a Bid!
