TAYLOR NEVER SURRENDERS- DYOTTVILLE GLASS WORKS PHILADa".See GI37 in AMERICAN BOTTLES & FLASKS by McKearin and pg.517 for a description about these c.1850 snap case made historical flasks which held the bottle in place instead of using a pontil rod (hence no pontil rod mark on base).Even though this bottle was made almost 160 years ago its in near mint condition with no chips or cracks and very little surface wear or scratches and nice bold lettering.........I doubt you'll find a nicer example !
