(A smaller, companion piece is listed in another auction -- great go-withs!)  This treasure is embossed:  PATENTED/ JULY 16, 1867  Great piece of tangible history!  This bottle has smooth base, with bubbles, swirls, straw marks, and irregularities in glass that make this a fantastic piece for the collection or display.  Base is 12-sided as well.  Incredible find for the collector of inks, inkwells, and blown-in-mold pieces -- a definite requisite for collectors of antique glassware, vintage inks/turtle/igloo inks, vintage glass, 1800s pieces, early bottles, or historic treasures in general.  This fantastic self-regulating piece really works!  Based on the principles of gravity and flow, the well can be used without affecting the flow back into it -- GREAT!   Low starting price and no reserve make this one you just can't afford to pass by! This wonderful glass ink is an unusual piece, measuring approximately 3"h base to igloo top; about 4 3/4" base diam. Please see pictures for details.
