Description
Up for bid is this beautiful clean amber label under glass apothecary from the late 1800's. Rarely do you see a bottle of this condition up for sale. There are no chips or cracks. The LUG is prestine as seen in photos.  Label reads LIN. SAPON. MOLL.   This medicine bottle is attic mint, with the glass and label being immaculate, with no cracks or discoloration. The ground stopper is perfect as well, and bottle has the tooled top. It's glassed over label reads within an inset panel Then on the base it reads, W.T. CO. (Whitall Tatum Glass Company). And a (W) as if signed by the maker. See picture. This is extremely rare and I do not have another one like this nor have I seen one like this. For this reason I'm putting a reserve on this bottle. There is a small "dimple" by the manufacturer below the right side of LUG. This is not a flaw in the bottle by no means! This bottle measures 8 1/8" tall, with it's glass stopper in. As nice as they come. This bottle is  a real gem. Pictures don't do it justice. On the side of the bottle, next to the seam, are measuring lines indented into the glass. I'm quite sure the winning bidder will be very pleased with this bottle. I will be putting more of these type of bottles in cobalt, amber, and clear up for bid in the following weeks. I will combine shipping for multiple winning bids. I do not require insurance but it might be a good idea even though I use alot of bubble wrap and pack very carefully. Thank you for looking. I am the president of the Los Angeles Bottle Club and would also like to invite anyone to come to our show and sale on Sept. 13th. There is also an internet auction going to take place and can be previewed through our website. Bids will be taken over the internet or at the show. For questions please ask and I will be happy to answer them.
